Borman Entertainment Heads for Renaissance Office Space

An artist management company with clients such as Keith Urban, Alison Krauss and Mickey Guyton has leased 5,000 square feet of space at The Tower at Renaissance office building downtown.

Borman Entertainment, whose CEO Gary Borman for 16 years was also singer Faith Hill’s manager, plans to relocate its Nashville offices to that space from 4322 Harding Pike early next year.

The signing comes as The Tower’s new owner Elmington Capital Group plans to spend $2 million on renovations, including to the lobby and common areas. Locally based Centric Architecture has been hired as the design firm for that work, said Dominic Zabriskie, director of asset management with Nashville-based Elmington.

With Borman’s lease, the six-story, 94,848-square-foot Tower atop downtown’s Renaissance Nashville Hotel is 80 percent leased. Public relations firm McNeely Pigott & Fox, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry and law firm Brewer, Krause, Brooks, Chastain & Burrow PLLC are among the larger tenants.

Elmington recently hired the Nashville office of real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle to handle leasing for The Tower, which its Elmington Property Management division manages.

Eakin Partners handled leasing for The Tower’s previous owner Rodgers/Welch Investments, which had managed the building itself. Eakin brokers Dan Bauchiero, Byran Fort and Barry Smith represented both Elmington and Borman in those lease negotiations before Eakin turned over the leasing duties to Jones Lang LaSalle.

The 10-employee Nashville operation is the larger of Borman’s two offices. Gary Borman works out of the Los Angeles office and also from Nashville.

Elmington’s ECG Mountain Ridge affiliate recently bought a pair of apartment communities in Chattanooga — 280-unit Mountain Brook Apartments and 226-unit Ridgemont Apartments — from Nashville-based Freeman Webb Investments Inc. for $28 million.
